Throwback Thursday

Emma's challenge over at My Creative Time this week is to create any project you want but it has to be Cricutless! Ack! That has proven to be very challenging for me in the past. I'd always think I accomplished a Cricut-free project, only to realize at the last minute that I, in fact, used my Cricut for a circle or other ancillary shape on the card. LOL.  Well, this time, I accomplished it! I didn't even turn the machine on.

For my card, I used Emma's scallop and stitched circle die set. Those adorable faces are Peachy Keen faces, of course: Wide Eyed Kids, Critter Faces and Wide Eyed and Bushy Tailed. The sentiment is Emma's set Just a Little Note to Say...  I find myself using that set more and more. That pretty paper is from a 6x6 My Mind's Eye pad I picked up at Michael's last weekend.  The twine is from The Twinery

Throwback Thursday Challenge

Emma's challenge this week is to use any cartridge but make a bug themed project.  While I'm not a fan of bugs, a Peachy face can make any bug lovable. For my project today, I used the ladybug cut from Create a Critter, which of course is my go-to cartridge for anything.  Her adorable face is Peachy Keen's Wide Eyed Kids face assortment. I just love that set. It's great for critters and people faces alike!

I was in the mood for a fun shaped card. This cut is from the Birthday Bash cartridge. I am loving this paper and it's from Fancy Pants, a combination of Beach Bum and Love. I picked them up over at Scrapbook Steals, my new most favorite website!! You have to check them out.  They have two awesome deals a day and they sell out fast. But they often have 6x6 paper pads for $2.99!  That twine is from Trendy Twine and it matched perfectly!!

Happy Birthday Gift Card Holder

I love these little bags. You can dress them up really quick or take a lot of time with them and wind up with a cute little gift card holder either way. They are perfect! I just trimmed off the top to even it off and punched a half circle to make it easy to pull the gift card out.

I used Peachy Keen's Duck and Egg die with one of the cutest duckie faces ever!! I'm in love with this adorable little duckie. The patterned paper is a DCWV stack called All About Girls. I used an oval punch and stamped Happy Birthday from a Papertrey Ink set called Birthday Basics. I finished it off with some twine, which I'm loving right now!  Thanks for looking and have a great week!

Mini Album with Your Story Photo Personal Bookbinding Machine

I love this little machine. I purchased it from HSN and got a bunch of covers with it. Very inexpensive and it's still available here. It's so easy to put a little album or personalized little pad together - the possibilities are endless! Well, for this album, a dear friend recently lost her kitty and they were very good pals. :( I wanted to give her something that she could always have as a special keepsake and have it chock full of memories. I hope she likes it.

For the cover, I used small square tags but I can't remember which cartridge it's from :(. The font is Roly Poly from Plantin Schoolbook. I love that font and it, or the Gypsy font are usually my go-to fonts. Of course, I only have one or two other font cartridges anyway. LOL. Every other image is from the Meow cartridge. I roped some twine through the hole in the tags. The paw prints are from the Cricut Lite cartridge, Meow. I blinged up the cover with some gemstones.

Here's a view of the whole book.

And here are some individual pages:

I cut a 1/2 inch circle and wrapped it in twine to make it look like a ball of yarn that the cat is playing with. I did that on a few different pages also.

The last page are pockets that I made from envelopes. I glued two together to make the pockets. I put a blank piece of paper in one of the pockets so she could do some journaling. I stamped"memories" from My Pink Stamper stamp and the paw is from Mr. Cricut Crazy stamp set titled, Man's Best Friend Vol. 1.

Thanks for looking and have a great day!

Overall, I have been inspired

Ok, ok. Enough with the puns. But, I was inspired again by Kimberly's blog, My Craft Spot. I just love her projects. She was inspired by Creations with Christina, so I'll credit them both. These overalls were just too adorable I had to buy Freshly Picked and make some of my own. Aren't they the cutest little cards?! You can view Kimberly's here and Creating With Christina's here. I used Glossy Accents to give the pocket/sentiment some shine and used my new Twine from The Twinery. Very fast shipping and adorable twine. Thanks for the inspiration, ladies.

Here's all 3 together. Aren't they adorable?!
Thanks for looking!
