Peachy Keen's Let's Face it Friday Challenge: X's and O's

I had SO much fun with this challenge!! The challenge was to use Peachy Keen faces and X's and O's somewhere on your project. I knew I wanted to create a mini album with my Your Story Personal Photo machine I received for Christmas. I haven't used it yet and couldn't wait. I first got the idea to make a coupon book for my husband for Valentine's Day. I knew I wanted to use Twinkle Toes for the boy and girl. I used Papertrey Ink's Heart Prints for the XOXO border.
Since I didn't have a paper perforator blade, I decided against a coupon book. What good is it if you can't tear out the coupon?! And heaven forbid I just wait to purchase one. Patience is not my best virtue. Instead, I decided to make it a photo album and include pictures of my husband that mean the most to me, and pictures of us that mean something to both of us.

I used Peachy Keen's Funshine Face parts for their faces. I just ordered Happy Lashes from PKS and am looking forward to using them instead of the Funshine Face parts. It's a pain to cut up the face parts to space them out wide enough so they look proportionate to the doll. But hey, it works.

This is what the first page looks like. The remainder of the pages are just matted photos. On the opposing pages, I hand wrote what character trait that picture portrays and why I love him for it. I had a lot of fun creating this, and my husband is the sentimental type, so I know he'll love it. I took lots of photos so you can get a few different views.

Thanks for looking and have a great day!

A Valentine Tree

I love Winter Frolic so much, I had to use this adorable tree. I'm definitely Christmas-carded out, so I used pink and white to create a Valentine themed tree. I think it turned out pretty non-Christmasy and I'm pleased. This card is also for The Paper Variety challenge: create a project with pink, black and/or white. I chose pink and white and added purple as a third color. Sadly, the purple is Stampin' Up! Almost Amethyst and it is retired. I only have about 10 sheets left. Ack! The glitter paper is from AC Moore and it's fantastic. It's a light-weight chipboard and they didn't skimp on glitter. I used adhesive pearls to decorate the tree, some button twine to wrap the trunk. The patterned paper is from Stampin' Up! Designer Series Paper Sending Love. It's retired also, but it's available for clearance here. It's awesome; every page is glittered. The hearts were cut with my other new favorite cartridge, Twinkle Toes. I used some felt flowers and gems to add some texture.
Here's a close up of the heart and flower detail:

The sentiments on the heart are once again from Papertrey Ink's Heart Prints set. I'm sure getting a lot of use from that set. I used a paper crimper to add some texture to the paper and topped it off with satin ribbon from papertrey Ink in Raspberry Fizz.

Thanks for looking and have a great day!

Peachy Keen Challenge #43: Be Mine

Peachy Keen's challenge this week is a sketch challenge. Usually, I can't get inspired by sketch challenges, but I did this time! I had so much fun creating this card. The "Be Mine" banner was cut from my newest cartridge, Twinkle Toes. So was the layered heart, actually. This cartridge has so many shapes that can be used as backgrounds for stamped sentiments, it was a bonus I knew nothing about until I bought the cartridge! Yay!

I used so many different elements on this card. I guess the snow is making me more creative. LOL. The floral patterned paper is from Stampin' Up! and the polka dot paper is from DCWV Dots, Stripes & Plaids- I'm loving this stack! The sentiment is from Papertrey Ink's Heart Prints Stamp Set. I love PTI! So, here is my finished card with inside detail. Thanks for looking and have a great day!

Peachy Keen's "Let's Face it Friday" Challenge

I made this card for Peachy Keen's "Let's Face It Friday" Challenge. The challenge is to create a Thank You card using a Peachy Keen face stamp. Easy enough! I used Twinkle Toes Cricut Lite cartridge for this one. I just love this little girl and her tutu! I am so pleased with her shape. It's so different than the Paper Dolls body shape, which I've gotten bored with. I searched high and low and got the last Twinkle Toes at Walmart on Saturday. I'm so excited! The dog is from Create a Critter. The background paper is DCWV Dots, Stripes and Plaids and the Thank You stamp is from My Pink Stamper Family & Friends set. I used some adhesive pearls from AC Moore for her earrings and the gems on her tutu are from Stampin' Up! For both faces, I used PK-944 Funshine Face Parts. The eyes were a little too close together for her face, so I cut them and arranged them on the acrylic block the way I wanted. It worked out just perfect! Thanks for looking and have a great day!
