My Pink Stamper Blog Hop

This was My Pink Stamper's very first blog hop. It was so exciting opening all the design team's blogs to get a clue on what the challenge was about. I can't remember verbatim, but the challenge was to create a card, scrapbook page, or other project using My Pink Stamper stamps or the color PINK! That was a piece of cake for me. I actually didn't use MPS Stamps for this project because the birthday saying I had didn't fit onto the punch I wanted to use, but I love her stamps. They are awesome quality and I am always able to find the perfect sentiment.

Anyway, I used my brand new Winter Frolic cartridge for this card. I looked all over for this cartridge. Well ok, just in Joann's and AC Moore and neither had it. So, I decided I didn't want it and purchased Twinkle Toes instead. Then, I saw someone's card using Winter Frolic and realized I needed it. LOL. So, I went on eBay to bid and was so excited that I won the auction! Woot! Three seconds later, I found the cartridge for $2 cheaper on a Buy It Now option. Ooh, I was peeved. But, in the end I'm just excited to finally have it. Yay!

I used Stampin' Up! Early Espresso for the base and Regal Rose for the layer. I used my paper crimper to give the rose layer some texture. I also used Papertrey Ink's Heart Prints stamp set for the hearts on the card. I used rhinestones for the buttons on her coat and a fuzzy pom pom for her hat. The hat and wrists looked bland to me, so I threw in a little embroidery floss for contrast and some stickles for bling. A little button twine and a bow in the corner and I called it a day! My friend's birthday is on Valentine's Day and this card will be perfect. Thanks for looking and have a great day!
