MPS Card Donation

Kathy Mortl, a nurse from Wisconsin has asked for card donations for an event honoring breast cancer survivors and women fighting the disease now. Kathy is hoping to place a handmade card at each of 1500 survivors' place setting during a breakfast prior to a walk/run in support of the cause. Here is my contribution to these very courageous women. You can read more about this special project at My Pink Stamper

PKS Let's Face It Friday Challenge - Our Furry Friends

The LFIF this week is to create a project using animals as the main theme. How easy is that? Almost every project I create uses an animal of some kind. LOL. I used the Wide Eyed Kids face assortment for that adorable face and the sentiment is from My Pink Stamper's set, Punny-licious. I used eyelets for the first time ever. I had wanted to try them for some time, but never bought them. I used glossy accents for her ears and hooves? Do ewes have hooves? I flocked her fur and called it a day.
Sorry the pic is a little blurry.

My Pink Stamper Design Team Submission

Robyn over at My Pink Stamper is having a Design Team call this month. The challenge is to create a project using your favorite Cricut cartridge and incorporate the colors brown, green, turquoise, orange and another color of your choice. I chose white as my 5th color. For my card, I used my current favorite Cricut Lite cartridge Jolly Holidays. I used the adorable penguin on that cartridge. I love her little umbrella. For her face, I used a Peachy Keen face stamp from the Happy Lashes set.
Recipe:
Card base in white cut at 4.25 x 5.5, edges punched with corner rounder punch.
Green layer cut at 3.75 x 5
Cuttlebug embossing folder: Seeing Spots
Penguin cut with brown cardstock from Jolly Holidays cartridge at 3.75
DCWV Just the Girls stack for the umbrella
Stamp from My Pink Stamper: Punny-licious
Orange ribbon

PKS: Let's Face it Friday Challenge

Whew. I'm getting this one in just under the wire. I had so much fun creating this card. It's a submission for Peachy Keen's Let's Face It Friday Challenge. The challenge was to create a project using faux or real stitching. I used the Meow cartridge and the face is from the Wide Eyed and Bushy Tail assortment, one of my most favorite sets!
I heat embossed the black oval with a background stamp and clear embossing powder then hilighted the perimeter with faux stiching using a white gel pen and then added some green ruffled ribbon behind the layer. The "You Rock" stamp is from My Pink Stamper's line of stamps. Isn't the cat's hat adorable?! Thanks for looking!
