My Creative Time: Throwback Thursday Challenge

Hi everyone! This is my first Throwback Thursday challenge with Emma from My Creative Time. I just received Emma's Color Me Happy stamp set and was so excited to play with it. I also went to Joann's today and picked up a few goodies that I wanted to use today. This adorable polka dot ribbon is perfect for this little girl's hair! The punch is from EK Success. I believe it's called wavy scallop dot punch. I love this punch; it's my new favorite.

Okay, on to the challenge. This week, the challenge was to use either Paper Doll Dress Up or Everyday Paper Doll cartridge and include either heat or dry embossing. I used PPDU and both dry and heat embossing. I also incorporated this adorable little pearl string I found in the "deals" section at Joann's for her necklace and embellishment for her dress. I just had to incorporate it into this card. The stamp, as I mentioned above, is from My Creative Time's first stamp set release, Color Me Happy. This should really show how excited I was to use the stamp set. There's no spring in the air around here. There's 30 inches worth of snow in my yard worth of no spring in the air. LOL. I used Twinkle Toes for the "frame" the sentiment is stamped on and her face is stamped with Peachy Keen's Cutie Pie Face Assortment.
I used Itty Bitty Backgrounds stamp from Stampin' Up! for the dots on the background. I used Papertrey Ink's Kraft cardstock for the base, Stampin'Up! Cherry Cobbler for the border at the top and for her dress, I used DCWV Dots, Stripes & Plaids. I love that stack. I just can't say it enough!

Here's a close up of her purse. I used the Cuttlebug to dry emboss the polka dots and then I used VersaMark and clear embossing powder to give the purse a little dimension. I'm not sure you can tell it's wet embossed. It just gives it a thick coating, almost a gloss.
